The new logo features the iconic Canadian Tire triangle to reflect a recently announced long-term partnership. Also included in the design is the outline of the historic 3.957 km grand prix circuit, which has played host to virtually every major motorsport event in its rich 52 year history.
"We wanted the new logo to reflect our new partnership with Canadian Tire as well as incorporate the historical aspects of the park with use of the track outline," said Myles Brandt, President and General Manager of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. "We're looking forward to an exciting new chapter in the facility's history that begins with the season opening NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race on the Victoria Day Weekend."
"For Canadian Tire, this new logo reflects our commitment to motorsport in Canada and the strength of our partnership with Mosport Park – an institution on the Canadian racing scene," said Allan MacDonald, Senior Vice-President Automotive, Canadian Tire. "We're looking forward to the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series opener at the new Canadian Tire Motorsport Park."
The Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend will also feature the Trans-Am Series, Canadian Touring Car Championship, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada, and the F-1000 Championship Series.
