In the August 15th edition of Spencer Lewis' Short Track Notebook, we recap Sauble Speedway's Dash for Cash event, including post-race interviews with Ltd. Late Model winner Jason Parker, runner-up Scott McTeer, third place finisher 'Marvellous' Marvin Freiburger and 5th place finisher 'Livewire' Nick Goetz. We also visit with Thunder Car feature winner Steve Ecker and up-and-coming Mini Stock sophomore Kyle Jackson.

Here's our post-race interview with 50-lap Ltd. Late Model feature winner Jason Parker. 'The New Age Punisher' held off Scott McTeer through the race's early stages, and by halfway had amassed a 4 car length lead over his rival. In the video, Parker speaks about his 4th win of the season, his hopes for a 2013 championship, his back and forth rivalry with McTeer and more. Click here to access the video interview.

Current point leader – and defending track champion – Scott McTeer (above, by TW Robarts Photography) turned in a runner-up performance, falling just short of Parker. We caught up with the Tiverton, ON driver and asked about his 5 victories this season, how happy he is with his program, and what his plans are for the rest of the season. The interview can be found here.

'Marvellous' Marvin Freiburger (above, by TW Robarts Photography) was all smiles post-race, after earning an impressive third place finish in the talent-laden Dash for Cash field. Freiburger was quick to tell us how content he is with his program, and explained some of the growing pains his team has experienced transitioning from the Thunder Car division to a Ltd. Late Model. Check out the interview here.

'Livewire' Nick Goetz (above, by TW Robarts Photography) overcame difficulties in heat race qualifying to come home with a 5th place finish. We asked Nick about his sophomore campaign and what it takes to succeed at Sauble Speedway. His post-race Dash for Cash interview can be found here. Follow Nick on Twitter @NGMotorsports24.

In a Thunder Car field that included reigning Autumn Colours Classic champion Smokin' Joe Adams, multi-time Sauble titlist Todd Davenport and perennial contender Ken Grubb, it was former Pro Late Model regular Steve Ecker (above, by TW Robarts Photography) that surprised with a trip to victory lane. The veteran, piloting a former Shawn Arnott-owned entry, led all 40-laps of competition for the resounding victory. His interview can be found here.

We also had a chance to chat with up-and-coming Mini Stock sophomore Kyle Jackson (above, by TW Robarts Photography). The Sauble Beach, ON driver took the time to explain the changes he's made to his ride over the off-season, the keys to competing well at Sauble and what he hopes to accomplish before the end of the 2013 campaign. You can catch Kyle's first on-camera interview here.
