TROIS-RIVIERES, QC – May 30, 2012 – The Mirabel event was not in Jean-Francois Dumoulin’s 2012 calendar. Continuously searching for major partnerships to participate in the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series road circuit and Montreal’s Nationwide events (August 18th and 19th), it is with our partners’ support that the eldest of the Dumoulin brothers will be on the track alongside Louis-Philippe at the ICAR Lucas Oil Grand Prix presented by Budweiser.
The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (NCATS) will feature a race at the Mirabel Circuit for a second consecutive year on June 2nd and 3rd. Jean-Francois Dumoulin has had previous windows to test a variety of cars on this track, and this weekend will be an opportunity to experiment with the adjustments made last winter on the n°04 Groupe Bellemare/ACASS car.
“This race was confirmed at the beginning of the week with our partners support, ACASS, Bellemare, Manac, GP3R, Hairfax and Paraphe. It is the perfect occasion to get into the NASCAR rhythm, reunite with the Dumoulin Competition Team, and prepare for the Grand-Prix of Trois-Rivieres [August 3rd, 4th, and 5th]. It will also allow us to test the improvements made on the n°04 Groupe Bellemare/ACASS car on the track. I am delighted to begin the season earlier this year,” shared Jean-Francois Dumoulin.
Louis-Philippe Dumoulin is pleased to compete alongside his brother for the first time this season. The driver of the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare car quickly assimilated the ICAR circuit in 2011 resulting in a 4th place finish.
“I am eager to race in Mirabel once again. We finished with a top-5 at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park [May 20th Bowmanville, Ontario] in the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare car. I am confident that we will once again be able to offer a good performance for our partners and supporters,” mentioned the 2011 NCATS Rookie of the Year.
Louis-Philippe Dumoulin added: “The ICAR circuit is narrow, there will certainly be a lot of action and the team strategy will be crucial. It is a pleasure driving the n°47 Dodge Challenger with our major partner WeatherTech Canadas’ colors. We can’t wait to return on track once again.”

Jean-Francois Dumoulin will be at the wheel of car nº 04 Groupe Bellemare/ACASS and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin in the nº 47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare car. Qualifications will take place on Saturday June 2nd at 4pm with the green flag waving on Sunday June 3rd at 1:30 pm.
