MAY 29, 2012 - After his best career finish at Brockville Speedway just one week ago, Luke Stewart returned once again this week looking to for another top ten, and build some momentum going into the first full month of the 2012 season.

BROCKVILLE, ON - Matt Billings put two and two together faster than anyone else on Saturday night at Brockville Ontario Speedway. The hometown hero figured out half through the 30 lap 358 Modified feature that the high side was the fastest way around the Beast of the East and the result was his first win of 2012.

After more then six weeks of accepting nominations for the inaugural inductees into the Napa Auto Parts Brockville/Finish Line Web Design Brockville Speedway Hall of Fame through the Speedway Facebook page, we are very excited to announce the nominees for the class of 2012, and voting is now open.

BROCKVILLE, ON - Chris Herbison made a pass on the last lap for the win on opening night at Brockville Ontario Speedway. And on Saturday night, he did it differently with the same ultimate result leading all 40 laps to take the first event in the three race St. Lawrence Seaway series for Sportsman cars at the Beast of the East.

By their nature, racecar drivers lack the ability to sit still. They're used to the high speeds, thrills and close competition of their chosen vocation. Things become problematic once they've achieved a certain level of success. Drive and desire take over. The need to take that next step makes them restless and necessitates change.

Chris Herbison knows how to write a script for dramatic last laps. Last year, on the final lap of the final race, a pass netted him a track championship. Saturday night, the Love Bug was at it again, with a final turn, final lap pass for the opening night victory in the Sportsman division at Brockville Ontario Speedway.

The 2012 racing season for Brockville Ontario Speedway kicked off Saturday night with a look back at 2011. The annual awards banquet packed Boston Pizza in Brockville for the evening. Danny O Brien claimed his 10th trophy as Modified track champion as thoughts began to turn to getting out onto the track in just under a month with the annual test and tune is scheduled for May 5th.

In an effort to honour past stars of the Brockville Ontario Speedway over the rich 43 year history of the track, Napa Auto Parts Brockville, Finish Line Web Design and Brockville Ontario Speedway are proud to announce the formation of the NAPA Auto Parts/Finish Line Web Design Brockville Speedway Hall of Fame.
