On that day, there were two workers and some equipment on the site, but there were still piles of gravel and dirt visible and the base level of asphalt had not been laid down. To the eye, the site looks virtually unchanged since a flurry of construction activity late in 2014. While at the track, our photographer was told there were 'no plans to pave this year.'

During the recent SEMA show in Las Vegas, a NASCAR official confirmed that the facility would not be considered for inclusion on its 2016 NASCAR Canada Series schedule (formerly NCATS), given that NASCAR doesn't traditionally give dates to unfinished facilities.
A gentleman who was actively involved in the Cayuga Speedway renovation project from its inception and acted as the media liason, recently contacted Inside Track to say that he's no longer assocated with the facility.
Thank you to Peter Anderson for visiting the track and for sending the comments and photos.
