DELAWARE, ON – The NASCAR Pinty’s season came to a close last Sunday at Delaware Speedway, with the annual Pinty’s Fall Brawl. It was Kevin Lacroix’s 100th event in the Canadian stock-car series.
However, the 2023 season did not end as desired, with the #74 NAPA Auto Parts | Valvoline car finishing in 5th position. “It wasn’t the best race, but the result is still acceptable,” he said.
Kevin Lacroix started the day 7th in practice, then 6th in qualifying. The start of the Pinty’s Fall Brawl went smoothly, with Lacroix having 250 laps to go at the front of the field.
It was towards the end of the race that he broke into the Top 5, and went on to finish the event in 5th place. “It’s been a season of highs and lows,” explained Lacroix. “We started the season on the right foot and had consistently strong results, but it wasn’t enough to be a title hopeful.”
One of the highlights of the season was his 2nd place finish in the streets of Toronto, where Lacroix shined in one of the most intense races of the year, putting on a show at Exhibition Place. He repeated his 2nd place result in the first race at Ohsweken Speedway. Of course, his victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was his best memory. Lacroix ended the 2023 season with nine Top 5 finishes.
“I’d like to thank my partners who supported me throughout the season. I’m happy to have shone the NAPA Auto Parts colors across Canada, and on a few podiums!”
