MAY 29, 2012 – After his best career finish at Brockville Speedway just one week ago, Luke Stewart returned once again this week looking to for another top ten, and build some momentum going into the first full month of the 2012 season.
In his eight lap qualifying heat race, Stewart started fifth, and maintained that spot. After coming back to the pits, the team made some changes to the car hoping to get it handling better for the 30 lap feature. Starting from fifth place, Luke battled hard over the first ten laps and maintained his position. The handle on the car began to go away as they approached halfway, and Stewart faded back outside the top ten. Over the closing laps, he would battle back, and record his second straight top finish at Brockville.
“The car was pretty good early, but the handling seemed to go away near halfway”, commented Stewart after the race. “We are running well, and we are learning a lot with each passing week. Hopefully we can keep that up throughout the season”.
