#NCATS • @DumoulinDC • @weathertechca • Trois-Rivières, QC – Sitting in first place of the drivers’ championship while on the way to the home event, “Passion, Performance, and Partnerships” reaches whole new levels of meaning for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, Mario Gosselin, crew chief, King Autosport, and the mechanical crew of the #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare team.

Since the beginning of the season, the consistency of the results has been the key. This race on the road circuit he grew up near will not be the exception for the Trois-Rivières native who is also celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Dumoulin family in motorsport.

“Coming home with first place in hand is awesome, especially knowing that we’ll compete in our city, in front of our partners, friends, family, and supporters. It’s really fun! We always want to be good and make sure our fans get the best possible show. The Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières celebrates its 45th edition this year, already! We’ve become accustomed to the event which gave us so many memories,” shares the enthused driver of the Dodge #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Groupe Bellemare.

A victory on home turf would be more than a show of success. This year, the teams will be authorized one pit stop for refueling since the main event of the weekend, “Le 50 tours JuliaWine.com” consists of eight additional laps in comparison to last year, which represents an extra challenge to overcome for the teams and a ton of exciting action for the fans who will be on location.

“The competition is tough and a lot of experienced drivers participate in the series. The pit stop requires a different racing strategy compared to previous years. Thanks to the partnership with WeatherTech Canada and the Group Bellemare, I have the opportunity to work with Mario [Gosselin] and top of the line teammates who are fast and proactive every step of the way,” explains Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
