CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO (April 29, 2014) – Lowdown Hot Rods have signed on to become the presenting title sponsor of the HeadsUpRacer.com Quick 16 category this upcoming season, as the class enters its first year as a Points Category looking to crown an Inaugural Champion.

With the additional support from Lowdown Hot Rods, Ontario and New York Fast Bracket Racers will able to compete in a traditional Quick 16 program, where the winner will take home an $1100 cash purse (with a minimum of 15 cars), and top points contenders will be vying for a share of the $5300 plus Year-End Championship Cash/Prizes Purse.

Lowdown Hot Rod’s owners Tom and Linda VanDerGeld are very familiar with the Fast bracket World, as their son Brody, campaigns a Top Dragster locally, and will be looking to run in the HeadsUpRacer.com Quick 16 presented by Lowdown Hot Rods this year. Additionally, Tom and Lowdown Hot Rods have worked on and built on some of Ontario’s fastest Bracket and Pro Modified cars over the years, making them more than just a standard Hot Rod Shop.

The VanDerGelds are very happy to be associated with the DSE Racing Series and look forward to being involved as a sponsor as well as racing with the Top Dragster driven by Brody and hoping to have another dragster out, being driven by son Austin this summer.

The first Event for Quick 16 racers as well as all the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series competitors will be the 3rd Annual Season Opener, which takes place June 7th-8th at Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park. The DSE Sportsman Racing Series boasts a (to date) $22,500 Year end points fund, and features a point’s structure where racers claim their best 8 out of 12 point’s races during the season.
