STROUD, ON (September 27, 2017)- Battling hard on both days at the Velocity 250, Lisa DeLeeuw was able to walk away from the weekend with a top-20 finish.
DeLeeuw started off the weekend on Saturday by finishing eighth in his first heat, followed by a 12th in her second qualifier following a mid-race incident with a fellow driver. With those finishes, she was forced to run the LCQ on Sunday afternoon, placing third to transfer to the main event.
Starting at the back of the pack, she battled hard, though found herself involved in a late-race incident with two laps to go with two fellow competitors. Restarting once again near the back, she battled hard to the checkered flag, crossing the finish line in 18th.
DeLeeuw and DY Racing are proud to be supported by Partimer Sign, Skytec Rentals, Solex Steel, Safeway Towing, BDS Enterprises, Can-alignment, Scentsy Independent Consultant, Jays Signs and Graphics, P&A Plastics, Higher Ground Landscaping, and Cabral Racing Promotions.
