Toronto, February 16th, 2012 – The Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental Tire (CTCC) is thrilled to confirm that beginning in June 2012, This is Canadian Touring Car will be featured on Sportsnet One across Canada.  

This is Canadian Touring Caris a 30-minute lifestyle-reality based television series about people that race cars. This show will delve into the personalities and the passion of Canada’s top race car drivers as they strive to become celebrated winners, throughout CTCC’s season.

Over the past two years, CTCC has produced 25 web shows which were published on its YouTube Channel and Website. Those shows were a mix of off-season features, event news-type reports and reality-based “Webisodes” that varied in length from eleven to fourteen minutes. The Webisodes proved to be the most popular with our viewers and became the emerging idea of This is Canadian Touring Car.

 “There are so many positive potential components to our partnership with Sportsnet,” stated John Bondar, President of CTCC.  “When you look at the number of platforms on which Sportsnet is able to deliver content, our fans and partners can’t help but celebrate. This is a unique opportunity for CTCC and we are grateful to be part of Sportsnet’s strategic programming.”
 
About CTCC
The Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental Tire is the only truly Canadian professional road racing series and it showcases race cars based on their original stock street version. The entry-level B-Spec Class introduces a compact car category with stock engine and strictly controlled modifications; the Touring Class features cars with minimal modifications, while Super Class machines have powerful and heavily modified engines and advanced aerodynamics. All three classes compete at the same time on the track and challenge for supremacy in their class.
