@LukeChudleigh* @FortecM* Toronto, Ontario (February 06, 2015) – Canada’s Luke Chudleigh is pleased to announce he will team with British powerhouse squad, Fortec Motorsports, to contest the 2015 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Series as well as the 2015 Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup Series (NEC).

The 19-year-old from Milton will return to Europe for a third straight season of open-wheel competition, after two seasons in the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS Series, this time partnering with the Daventry-based team set up by veteran team owner Richard Dutton.  Fortec Motorsports boasts a wealth of experience competing, and winning, across multiple platforms including the Formula Renault 3.5 World Series, Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup / NEC / ALPS / BARC Series, FIA Formula 3 and British GT.

“I’m super excited to be continuing my European racing with a team like Fortec Motorsports,” enthused Chudleigh. “I’ve competed against them the past two seasons in the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS Series and in some select Eurocup events and I know just how good a team they are.  I have no doubt that aligning myself with such a competitive race operation will further improve my on-track performances.”

“Having sampled some select rounds of the Eurocup Championship last season, and being pretty familiar with most of the circuits ahead of me this season, I can’t wait to get out there and get back racing.  It’s going to be a busy season combining both the Eurocup and NEC series but it affords me plenty of seat time which is only a good thing.”

“I’m very excited that Luke decided to join Fortec for this season,” stated Martin Young, Head of Fortec Motorsports’ Formula Renault 2.0 program.  “He already has experience racing in Eurocup and that, together with being in the NEC as part of his dual program shouldn’t be difficult for him.  We have a lot of confidence that Luke and the team can have success together in both series.  We look forward to working together.”

The 2015 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Series forms part of the prestigious ‘World Series by Renault’ package headlined by the Formula Renault 3.5 Series – a proving ground for Formula One™ talent.  This season’s Eurocup will comprise of 17 races held across seven events at tracks as famous as Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps, Great Britain’s Silverstone, Germany’s Nurburgring and France’s Le Mans Circuit.
