May 22, 2013- With the Victoria Day Holiday weekend, Ryan Arbuthnot and the Arbuthnot Racing team had a busy schedule planned out last week.  First up was the second week of the season at Brockville Speedway, followed by the season opening 100 lap Mr. DIRTcar/Canadian Nationals Series race at Cornwall Motor Speedway.  From there, the team would make a quick stop back home, and return to the highway for the long journey to Merrittville Speedway for the second round of the Mr. DIRTcar 358 Modified Series.

Sunday May 19, 2013 THOROLD, ONTARIO –  Pete Reid earned a big win in Ball Hockey International Night  at Merrittville Saturday May 18th in the Hoosier Stock Division. It was an emotional scene in Victory Lane after the death of his father this past Thursday.

THOROLD, ON - After winning his second Big Block Modified Feature in two weeks at Lernerville on Friday night, Mat Williamson, from St Catharines, made it a sweep of the weekend when he held off a determined Pete Bicknell to win the 35 lap 358 Modified Feature at Merrittville on Saturday, May 4th. It was the first point race at Merrittville, which opened its season last week.

After a long off-season, Danny O'Brien and his team were ready to get back to business this past weekend with a trip to Merrittville Speedway for their opening night Sprint Sizzler on Saturday night.

April 10, 2013: Despite the cool temperatures, and a forecast for some snow later this week, Danny O'Brien and his race team are ready for the 2013 season.  The first race on the schedule is just over a week away, with the season opening ' Spring Sizzler' at Merrittville Speedway on Saturday, April 27th.

THOROLD, ON - Last Season on the day Bill Willard Senior would have turned 94 - his great grandson Cody McPherson won the annual Sterling Silver Award at Merrittville Speedway, an award established by former racer Ken Walsh honoring the racing pioneer.

THOROLD, ON - KC Auto Parts Victory Lane at Merrittville Speedway again welcomed Jordan Cosco after the Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Driver won his 9th Feature of the 2012 Season - his 8th straight win Tuesday August 21st in the Thorold facility's Lucas Oil Weekly Karting Series assisted by the Meridian Credit Union. Making his first visit of the season to the winner's circle was Chris Watson in the Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Division.
