Petty Raceway postpones Friday show to Sunday

RIVER GLADE, NB (September 20, 2012) - Officials at Petty International Raceway have postponed Friday's scheduled show until Sunday afternoon."With the forecast still calling for rain on Friday we are making this decision early to help both our racers and our fans," said Brett Benoit, co-owner at the track.

Smith Jr. Adds His Name to Petty Raceway's International Winner's List

RIVER GLADE, NB (August 24, 2012) - With his win in Friday's Jones Auto Body Twin 75s at Petty International Raceway, Russell Smith Jr. will become the 30th different driver to have his name etched on the illustrious River Glade International winner's cup. Smith beat Chris Reid (second) and Cal Hatfield (third) to the finish line with a 2.32-second margin of victory.

Jonathan Hicken won the Lucas Oil 100 MPST race at Petty Raceway

RIVER GLADE, NB - JUNE 2, 2012 - Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) drove to the front early in the Lucas Oil 100 at Petty International Raceway on Saturday night and held off all comers on multiple late race restarts to take the win in Round Two of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour.

O'Blenis wins Sportsman 150 at Petty Int'l Raceway opener

RIVER GLADE, NB (May 19, 2012) - Champion New Brunswick racer Dave O'Blenis took home the checkers Saturday night at Petty International Raceway as winner of the GT Enterprises Sportsman 150. O'Blenis beat Nova Scotia sportsman champion racer Colby Smith by just a 1/2-car length at the finish line after leading 96 laps en route to the win in what was round one of six for the sportsman series scheduled at Petty this summer. Veteran New Brunswick multi-time champion Bill Sommerville finished third on the 25-car field.

Petty International Raceway set to open 2012 season on Saturday

RIVER GLADE, NB (May 15, 2012) - Petty International Raceway will roar to life this Saturday to start its second season which promises to bring even more excitement to regional race fans than last year. And track owners Brett Benoit, Craig McFetridge, and Wayne Smith are anticipating a full-house when the green flag flies for the first time this year.

Lucas Oil to sponsor three Maritime Pro Stock Tour events in 2012

This year the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (PST) will see three events presented by veteran Tour sponsors Lucas Oil. Fans will be able to see 100 lap races on June 2nd at Petty International Raceway, June 30 at Oyster Bed Speedway, and August 18 at Riverside International Speedway. 2012 will mark Lucas Oil's 6th season of support for the regional touring series.

Petty Raceway plans Oval Outlaw event for mid-July

RIVER GLADE, NB - Petty International Raceway is expanding its 2012 schedule with a "run what you brung" outlaw race on July 14. The Oval Outlaw Triple 44's presented by O'Blenis & Sons Roofing and Siding will offer racers and race fans alike a no-holds-barred event unlike anything seen in recent racing history in the Maritimes.
