MPST: Slaunwhite takes season opener at Scotia Speedworld
(Halifax, NS, May 20, 2012) – In a CARQUEST 100 at Scotia Speedworld which ran flag-to-flag without a caution, Terence Bay's Craig Slaunwhite picked up where he left off in 2011 by capturing the first race of the new season. Slaunwhite, who won the season ending Dartmouth Dodge 200 last September, edged his #99 Halifax Glass and Mirror Chevrolet past pole sitter Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) on Lap 52 as the two found themselves surrounded by lapped traffic.
