Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and only eight other drivers completed the race on the leading lap (six caution flags - 46/250 laps). Eighth during the practice session, he took the Velocity Prairie Thunder starting grid in the eleventh position. Side-by-side with the veterans, the 2011 NASCAR Canadian Tire Rookie of the Year fought for his position with fervency and strategic passes, realizing his third top-10 finish of the season in the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare Dodge.
« I fought during the entire race and the last four laps were the determining ones, especially in terms of passing. I was two laps down when we made minor adjustments to the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare car, this enabled us to reposition ourselves on the leading lap. It was a good race, the team worked very hard and it paid off », shares Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
