Right from their website
Barrie Speedway and Horseshoe Resort are proud to present the return of OSCAAR racing this Saturday, June 13th.  The OSCAAR Super Late-Models will run a 50 lap feature this weekend and will be accompanied by Barrie's Thunder Cars and Pure-Stocks
.

ADMISSION                        PIT-PASS
Adults        $25                  $35 for Non-Members
Seniors      $23                  $19 for Nascar Members
Students    $20
Kids           $5

I have already emailed Barrie Speedway to see if their pricing was a misprint. With today's economy, people can't handle prices like that, especially for a 1 day event. It's been a long time since I missed an Oscaar event.
They even want 23 bucks from the seniors and most of them are on a fixed income. Shame on Barrie Speedway. Dam, I paid 25 to get into the pits at Kawartha for Oscaar's 1stevent this year, with LM's and 2 other classes running as well. Barrie is F'ed in the head.
I'd suggest everyone else email them and voice you're concerns too.

What is the reasoning behind this price hike?  I never miss an Oscaar Race.

I believe its between $12 to $14,000 for an Oscaar show.

TJ Woolsey is on the board of Oscaar and he has posted on their(Oscaar) website that they do have in their contracts that tracks cannot charge more than 25 pitside for their events. They're looking into it and will let us know.

I'm going to Brighton for the bus races anyway. I can get the WHOLE family in there for $20 for a better show.

Think I might head there too. 1/4 the distance for me and they pack the place and make a fortune on the concessions.

Due to working later this week....I don't have time to make my normal trip to Barrie...(only have time to make it Mosport..*yawn*...but I got free tickets so it an't all bad).....but after looking at this ridiculous price hike, I'm not sure if I would be going anyway.  I think $18 or $20 would be more reasonable, look at it this way.....I went to Barrie the first 2 weeks it cost me.... $15 Admission, $12-15 407 Tolls,$8-10 Food,$30-35 Gas.... so your looking at $70 give or take, I can't afford to be paying $10 extra bucks.

Save money, for example.

1    stay off the tole road. Save                  12-15
2    eat less save                                        8-10
3    ride with a friend, split the gas save        30-35

            you save                                      $60.00

he goes with his dad Wes, and his dad makes him buy gas to go to Barrie ahha...and that price hike IS ridiculous....especially the pits...the stands is one thing..but an oscaar team of 8..will cost them 280 dollars to get their team in....thats brutal...

again I wasn't complaining at all....I was just trying to state, that a price hike like that is a lot when you consider some people travel from a fair distance
