I really think racing is an after-thought for Mr. Hill. Maybe the group that's running Sunset Speedway should take a shot at running Cayuga. I smell a disaster in the making. If the ISMA show goes OK, whats next? Plan for next year, a true race fan will understand.

So, it's 3:30pm on Wednesday and for Saturday at Cayuga we have time trials, 3 heats, a B main? and a to be determined feature? Oh don't forget the undie 500, whatever the hell that's supposed to be. I don't want to be negative, but can anyone shed some light on the situation?

all I can say is unbelievable! Who in their right mind will attend on Saturday when you're not sure what you going to see?. Nothing like trying to bring in a division from Quebec that nobody is familiar with in Ontario.
/thread derail There's no room for criticism like that around this neck of the woods, just praise and adoration for having the fortitude for putting oneself in the position to try. /end thread derail typical What's typical here? Me exposing gaps in your logic, or you crawling out of the woodwork to ride my ass like a rented mule everytime I speak?

According to the super sprint web site, Saturday at Cayuga has been canceled. So whats next? This has been a comedy of errors from the outset. Lets hope Sunday doesn't go to hell in a hand basket. If they want race fan support, they are going about it a funny way.

So are we all happy about Cayuga Speedway now. No Saturday racing. What a surprise. Something will be announced shortly. Let me guess, a Hot Wheels track set up at the start finish line. Just kidding, but really what a circus. As Don Biederman would have said, the situation there is like **** sticking to fly paper.

I have been following this thread for a while but haven't reponded. It seems that JK is getting ripped by a couple of members here for his skepticism of the Cayuga situation. I have agreed with him 100%. With a number of past " Cayuga Resurrection " failures as a prime example his skepticism is well founded. The end result of this coming weekend further emphasizes his points. If people continue to promise things to which they cannot deliver, Cayuga will continue to be an afterthought on the Canadian racing scene. I know that we all wish that Cayuga could thrive as it once did but fiascos like the one of this coming weekend pushes that time further and further down the road. Until someone with money and some real clout in not only Canadian racing, but Canadian business marketing, takes over, the good times that Bob Slack and even Kim Wallace had at the track will remain a distant memory.

Shane, Very well said. I also have agreed with Jason's point of view from the start and some of the responses from his detractors have left me shaking my head.

Shane, you are right. That was my point from the start. I wanted the best to happen but really felt something wasn't right. Cayuga needs to be brought back to life. I see the group at Sunset and what they are doing. A leason can be learned.

James they have 5 owners all in constuction , paving , plumbing, electrical, contracting....etc....and with the promotion of wide open and management they can afford to go all out at this point, which is great its my home track....but like a new marrige the honeymoon..well you know what I mean.

well here's something more puzzling. Today the track website is saying the truck race has been rescheduled from today to July 25 due to weather. I thought by the translation of their memo they (the truck organization) had said no to the short lead time, unless they did agree to the 25th as an alternative initially and it is being portrayed as a rain date. Like I mentioned before, it might be a tough sell considering this group is virtually unknown outside of Quebec
