Look at the logistics of me and get back to me. 2 of the first 4 races are at Ste. Eustache, a 1-month off-stretch in June followed by 6 straight weeks, which wouldn't necessarily be too bad if it wasn't involving the 3-week western swing right in the middle of it. They've avoided long weekends like the plague, as well.

It is what it is, I guess. I mean, NASCAR has no clue about how to work logistics in their own country, they wouldn't have a chance in hell of getting the Canadian tour right, right?

Do you really think they care??? Don't expect great car counts at any venue other than maybe Montreal.

Thats a rough schedule, only 5 races in Ontario? Are there many race teams that can afford that kind of travel?

I doubt that'll be the case. Most of the ones who would do it are either still angry over how the CASCAR -> NASCAR transition went (and rightly so) or have their cars converted a considerable distance from NCTS-spec. You might get more participation from the Western teams who've ran with NCTS already, but it's hard to see any of the old guard (or even those who were in the CASCAR West tour in 06) coming back.
They could help themselves in the short-term if they allowed WEST/OSS-legal cars into the field, but if they want to survive in the long-term NASCAR needs to get on with integration of the series with the spec as the Grand National tours. Of course, I have no doubt they see things much more different than I do, considering how they've done nothing but near-continually shoot themselves in the foot (or some other extremity) over the past few seasons in developing their divisions which aren't the 'Big Three."

2 things suprised me about this schedule. 1. No race at Cayuga, and 2. I thought for sure that the NCTS would be back in toronto to run in conjunction with the HONDA INDY race.

Indy's no surprise. Given how things went last year between Mr. George and NASCAR (hint: August) and given the folks involved on the IRL side of things (and subsequently the egos) I'm surprised they didn't get the bright idea to put the kibosh on Edmonton, if it was an option.
