Kudos to NCTS

I must say that i gained little bit more respect for NCTS series officials for penalizing Andrew Ranger for his rough driving at ICAR this past weekend.
he has gotten away with to much of this and i personally can not stand the way he races and would think he would have about 1/4 the amount of win totals if he had to pass cleanly instead of using the bumper to move a car.
Canadian or not... i never root for him when he races down south because of the lack of respect he shows towardfs fellow races up here.

Sounds like he punted a few others before they finally penalized him for wrecking the leader though.

They were afraid of running out of cars.

Ron Sheridan could take note, if that's the case.

Apparently the drivers won't take it either, Kennington went up one side and down the other while Ranger was on his way to the Big Red Hauler.

See above, or else there's no gate to look after.
If only you could get the road ringers to do one oval start over the course of the season...

I see Jason's point. 27 cars at ICAR but likely 18 or 19 at Delaware. I think Cascar had it right when the road course ringers had to participate in x number of oval events-the old Scott Maxwell rule to prevent carpet baggers.

Then again, could you imagine how bad the fields on the roadcourses would be if they aggressively enforced a rule like that, and all the ringers running now told them to pound sand?

guess they only way around it would be to make them sign a contract at the start of the season to participate in X number of races but we really don't want to get more lawyers involved.
