18 Corr/Pak Merchandising Sprint Cars attended last night's test and tune...close to 30 or more should be in the pits for opening night tonight.  Healthy fields are expected in the ESSO Thunder Stocks and ESSO Mini Stocks too.  It's going to be a good one...just $10 for adult general admission.

Please visit http://www.OhswekenSpeedway.com for more information!

Good Opener Tommy-31 sprint cars including Patriot/ESS Quebec driver Daniel Lampron. Dave Dykstra took the feature over Kevin Job, Jared Zimbardi, Dain Naida & Jim Huppenen (yes-Tom's brother)
19 Thunder Stocks-winner Bill Bleich Jr
19 Bomber Fun Stocks-winner Karl Sault
18 minis-winner Abel Castelein
17 Mod Lites-winner Paul Klager
Good new souvenir program-lots of prizes plus lucky number prizes from the ticket stubs
New food caterer-what an improvement-Pulled Pork sandwiches, Great Burger. Have to remind them though that artificial sweetener is not a good subsitute for sugar for coffee.
Next Friday is two for one admission-two adults for ten bucks-can't go wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm...maybe I will break my no junk food on race nights rule and try some of the new food.

Not sure why my earlier posts did not come through...strange. Undecided

official results now show mini stock winner Abel Castelein as dq'd. Sometimes I wish they would post the reason (i.e. weight, not stock part, etc.) to stop any speculation.

I did not get the exact reason...I will talk to Glen H about it next week...something in the bottom end of the engine apparently.  Most of the time when there are DQ's in the Mini Stocks, it's not for intentional "cheating"...at least in my experience at Ohsweken...I can't speak for other tracks.

My brother's car blew a rad...turned out the previous owner left the thermostat in and it came apart and plugged everything up.
