yah...THIS is the new Outlaw Mini Stocks thread...you know...because the other thread is more of a "what happened to the original outlaw mini stocks" thread

now in the last discussion (before it was deleted), we came to the conclusion that:

-Dan 'The Bandit' Britt (with his brother, Kenny Britt, one of the top-10 Mini Stock racers of his generation, turning the wrenches)
-Former Sunset Speedway Mini Stock Champion 'Hollywood' Matt Henderson
-Veteran Mini Stock Driver Rob Gibson Jr
-Up and Coming Mini Stock star Marshall Pender

are the first 4 confirmed drivers

We've also received word that 'Slick' Rick Walt, a former Four Fun champion that will remain nameless, a former Barrie Speedway thunder car driver and a slew of current Sunset Speedway Mini Stock drivers are all in the midst of building or working out deals to build an Outlaw Mini Stock for 2009.

This class has a chance to be the biggest thing to happen to Ontario racing in 2009.....

I hope for their success, but I hope there's bigger and better things than this for 2009 as well.  Grin

Spencer, here's a stat that I bet you even don't know Wink There were 5 "confirmed drivers" for Renegade trucks. Sure the numbers will go up, just don't want you to jinx yourself here.

Whats up with Slicky Ricky? Just 2 days ago he was confirmed running me down in Thunder with "the best" i.e. Jim's bent up Thunder and a set of 624 heads. Did he clue in and realize that wasn't the brightest idea, or is Jim's thunder's wheelbase that short now, and one set of 624 heads works as good as 2?

also, the renegade trucks were a liiiiiittle bit different

as the 5 "confirmed drivers" had to actually build entirely new race cars..err..trucks

in this case, these 4 drivers are planning on "upgrading" or "outlawing" the cars they already have
