getting a little off topic here, but I always thought the KD schedule was a little short and being the last track to open may get the least fan interest as a result. The closing down for the Havelock Jamboree and Millbrook Fairs made no sense and should have been co-promoted to get more folks out! Mr Powell will probably agree with me re the reported 4500 at the ACT race sure was a figment of someone's imagination. I remember when the track opened, Rino Montinari winning $1000.00 for a 2 lap tire pit stop competition! The money seemed to be flowing from a tap (in the casino?) With all the job losses in Oshawa and the problem for fans from west of Toronto getting to the track on a Friday (traffic wise), it's a shame that the product has improved so much with so few folks there to see it.
Mike you are right with KD. No doubt it is a knock out  facility but lacks promotion. The co-promotion of events is a good idea. Delaware has a promotion team working for them it has helped the image I doubt they would have missed an opportunity like that.

The Powell team love KD only complaints are lack of quantity of tires, and mother nature playing with our 8 hour trip.LOL

I guess that fundraiser answers the question of whether Jesse intends on coming back, doesn't it?

He'll be back. No one's actually told me that, but in speaking to him before the races, he seemed relatively satisfied that some of the issues that he'd been having with the speedway were at least being heard.

Also, he did throw a 10 on the side of the car and took the green for the Delaware/NASCAR races. That did nothing but help everyone else, as NASCAR points are partly based on how many cars started, and he had no reason to do it...but he did.

The Jesse I spoke to about a month ago was a different Jesse. THAT Jesse would have invited everyone to take a long walk off a short pier. So he was already feeling better about things, at least as far as I could see.

And I'm sure winning the 200 might have helped heal a few wounds as well.
